  TESTIMONIALS
"...This is an excellent program. I'm so glad that I stumbled on to this when researching for task management programs. Very low learning curv, quite flexible, and the price is right. Tried at least 20 other programs, either too complicated, too expensive, or poor documentation..."

1. Develop a Business Moving Plan.

  • Investigate the need for relocation. Is there a necessity for your business to move? Why do you need to relocate your company? What are reasons for the relocation? You must consider the pros and cons of business moving and make your final decision on whether to move or not.
  • Business moving plan definition. Once you have decided to move your business to a new location, your next step is to plan your effort. A business moving plan is a detailed plan of actions for preparing and managing the moving process. It includes lists of tasks and duties to be assigned to each department and team. The plan should be agreed by the moving team (or committee) and its copies should be shared with key personnel. In a typical business moving plan there are several sections: Schedule, Budget, Moving Team, Moving Service, Communications.
  • Make Schedule. It is important to define timeframes for your business moving effort. Without strict deadlines the effort can turn into an endless process. You should make a detailed schedule that sets up durations, start time and finish time for all the tasks you have added in your planned business moving guide.
  • Set up Budget. There should be some funds necessary for relocating your company. You need to make estimates for calculating business moving expenses and creating a budget sheet. Communicate with your Finance department to negotiate the expenses and agree upon the final amount of money resources necessary for implementing your business moving action plan.
  • Hire Professional Movers. There are agencies providing the business moving service. You can use Internet to find such agencies, contact their representatives and discuss quotes. You will need to hire movers who will help your moving team to relocate your business. When hiring movers, be sure business moving expenses are under your available budget.

2. Plan for Communications.

  • A fundamental key to establishing a successful business moving process is a complete communications plan. If you have a mid-sized or large organization, it’s a good idea to make both internal and external communications plans. Such plans will help you keep your employees abreast of moving timeframes and also make business moving announcements in advance.
  • Plan for internal communications. An internal communications plan should include employee roles, tasks and duties related to the relocation. In this plan you can also schedule meetings with employees to share your business moving message and announce on your decision to move.
  • Plan for external communications. An external communications plan should include information on your new business location and moving timeframes. It’d be addressed to existing suppliers, vendors, partners, customers and other parties dealing with your business. You can also make a business moving letter and send it to all the parties 1 month before the move.
  • The overall communications plan will have the key purpose of notifying both your company’s workforce and external parties of timeframes and new location (address) that you have set up in your business moving plan.

3. Build a Moving Team.

  • Select Employees. You need to select employees who have appropriate skills and abilities for carrying out a business moving list of tasks and duties. People involved in logistics, supplies and procurement will be the best members for your team of business moving employees. If you own a small-sized company, then the team should include 3-5 employees. If the company comprises of several departments and numerous employees, ...
