  TESTIMONIALS
"...This is an excellent program. I'm so glad that I stumbled on to this when researching for task management programs. Very low learning curv, quite flexible, and the price is right. Tried at least 20 other programs, either too complicated, too expensive, or poor documentation..."

General suitability criteria:

  • Review underlying problems which your project seeks a solution for: are these problems really relevant and impactful for your current situation?
  • Study feasibility and optimality of the problem solution provided by the project (make sure it is the optimal and only affordable solution for this problem);
  • Justify the current solution as only acceptable, if there are more of alternative solutions;
  • Calculate and examine the project’s profitability and cost-efficiency, so you can make sure that the project’s viability satisfies the success criteria of your organization;
  • Review the project’s lifecycle and goals in a long-term outlook to ascertain that your company can afford continued maintenance of this project (perhaps further sponsorship/sale is required);
  • Analyze how beneficially the project impacts your company’s competitiveness (the project costs and commitments won’t be pulling a company down in a future);
  • Study whether the project plan provides you with a comprehensive work definition;
  • Examine if the project manager is assigned and he/she is fully eligible for this position;
  • Check if all project documents are ready, approved, and delivered to their users (please see the Project Documentation Checklist for more information);
  • Learn whether the project has sufficient (rather positive) effects and assess them:
    • Social or community impact;
    • Environmental impact;
    • Business development impact;

Project results acceptance criteria:

  • Determine norms and tolerance on quality specifications for the project deliverables;
  • Create the project’s Network Diagram to clarify the delay acceptance criteria for all tasks;
  • Set up the project’s due date and deadline constraints to identify schedule overrun criteria;
  • Schedule the milestones and target dates within the project’s timeline to clarify criteria for on-time delivery of the project results to know where timeliness is really critical;
  • Calculate the budget constrains and cost allowances (initial costs estimates developed by adding the risks-reasoned correction);

Legality criteria of the project:

  • Assess compliance of the project to appropriate law criteria and regulations;
  • Close legal questions related to employment and compensation of the team members;
  • Inspect if the project team members have all kinds of certifications for their personal service;
  • Control whether the organization has all necessary permits to deploy the projected activities;
  • Settle all questions with taxation and governmental supervision;
  • Settle all questions with the project contractors (make sure the contracts are correctly composed and signed as appropriate: for more info see Business Contract Checklist);

Suitability criteria for the project’s resources:

  • Examine the complete set of political, economic, socio-culture and technological factors (PEST) encompassing the project to get a better view of risks and supportive opportunities;
  • Assess suitability of the project’s resources to the operational environment;
  • Control how well the project team members are ready and ...
